THOMAS ALVA EDISON INTERFACING LABORATORY

Thomas Alva Edison Interfacing laboratory focuses on providing hands on experience by interfacing field devices with 89c51, PIC microcontrollers, Electro mechanical relays and PLC’s. This laboratory plays a key role in providing knowledge about different layers of automations incorporated in industry.

KAREL CHEPAK CNC LABORATORY

This lab will provide hands on training to the students with the following machines:

  • Ace - Jobber XL Production version CNC Turning Centre with FANUC control system
  • LMW – L – Mill 55 Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) with FANUC control system
  • CNC train master lathe (T70-HMT make)
  • CNC train master machine centre (VMC 200-HMT make)
  • System with CAM simulation software - 2 nos for interfacing with CNC machines
ROBERT E NEWNHAM SENSORS AND INSTRUMENTATION LABORATORY

Robert E Newnham Sensors and Instrumentation laboratory is equipped with various sensors and signal conditioning equipments like temperature sensor, linear and angular displacement measurement using LVDT, Capacitive Transducer and POT, position sensor, strain gauge based torque sensor, piezoelectric sensor and airflow velocity sensor, sound measurement using three-way cross over network, Pressure measurement using strain gauge bonded on steel diaphragm sensor, Level measurement using capacitive type transmitter, Flow measurement using orifice and rotameter trainer, Optical encoders for speed measurement, PID controller, Color sensor, Hall effect sensor with Arduino interface, Radiation pyrometer, digital storage oscilloscope, DSP based position and velocity controllers, SCXI-1000-National Instruments signal conditioning unit.

BLAISE PASCAL FLUID POWER LABORATORY

Blaise Pascal Fluid Power Laboratory is equipped with six pneumatic trainer kits, two hydraulic trainer kits, three hydraulic power packs, Servo hydraulic training kit and proportional flow & pressure control trainer kit. The pneumatic kits include basic pneumatic, advanced pneumatic, electro pneumatic, programmable controlled pneumatic and servo pneumatic handling system. The lab is furnished with equipments from renowned firms like FESTO, JANATICS and Hydrosmith etc.

Jeff Kodosky Virtual Instrumentation Laboratory

Jeff Kodosky Virtual Instrumentation Laboratory is functioning as KEC - NI LabVIEW Academy School. This laboratory focuses on educating the students with in-depth knowledge about virtual instrumentation and its real time applications.
