Computer Systems and Design

This branch of study focuses on providing the knowledge and skills necessary to develop new paradigms for the design and development of state-of-the-art software projects by incorporating the technologies of Computer Science.

  • Be successfully employed as Software developer and/or accepted into higher education

Information Systems

This branch of study focuses on the use of computer technology and information management methods to solve problems, by understanding the gamut of product development and web-based applications

Software Systems

This branch of study emphasizes critical thinking and design considerations involved in software-enabled systems, by acquiring the knowledge and skills of software engineering and development

PROGRAM OUTCOMES(POs)

Applied Science Graduates will be able to:

1. Applied knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science and applied science fundamentals to solve complex problems.
2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex application problems reaching substantiated conclusions using the principles of mathematics, natural sciences and applied sciences.
3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex application problems and system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, ethical and environmental considerations.
4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research based knowledge and skills including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern science and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex problem activities with an understanding of limitations.
6. Communication: Communicate effectively on complex application activities with the society at large, such as being able to comprehend and write effective reports, design documentation, give and receive clear instructions and make effective presentations.
7. Project management: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the science, and management principles which can be applied to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
8. Life-long learning: Recognize the need, preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of disciplines of Applied Science domains based on technological change.
