About KEC

Kongu Engineering College was established in the year 1984. The institution is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The Institution has completed 36 years of dedicated and excellent service in the field of technical education. It offers 14 UG programmes, 19 PG programmes and 16 Research programmes in Engineering, Applied Sciences and Management imparting high quality value-added education in India. The college has got NBA accreditation for UG programmes, Best Engineering College award and Best Principal award twice. The institution is ranked high among the Engineering Institutions in India by various surveys conducted by reputed magazines/journals/organization. The institution has established a Technology Business Incubator (TBI) supported by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India in its campus. About Mechatronics Engineering

The Department of Mechatronics Engineering established during 1999 and offers both UG and PG programmes. The department has reaccredited by NBA in the year 2020. It has good infrastructural facilities which include state of art CAM centre, CNC lab, Industrial automation controller lab, Robotics and machine vision lab, Fluid power lab, Sensors & IoT lab, Electronics system design and manufacturing lab, Control engineering lab, Project lab and Research lab. The faculty of the department are well experienced and have a blend of industrial and academic experience. The department has organized several national level seminars, symposiums, workshops, conferences and faculty development programs for the benefit of the Faculty, Researchers, Students and Industries .
